All About Me
I am a University of Georgia Alumna with a BA in public relations and a minor in fashion merchandising. I look forward to using my passion for written and visual content creation in my career. I am particularly interested in utilizing shifting cultural trends to positively impact branding strategy and communications efforts.
During my time as a Social Media Intern I helped drive social media engagement and increase website traffic. I actively participated in content strategy meetings. On Instagram, I created reels with a focus on trending audios and relevant pop-culture to best fit the algorithm while maintaining brand identity. I wrote blog posts to improve SEO and encourage purchases utilizing consumer interests and strategic verbiage.
I also have experience writing press releases in AP style, compiling media lists, pitching stories, crafting traditional and digital media campaigns, researching and developing successful target audience personas, and more. I enjoy graphic design and am skilled using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. I am confident in taking on creative projects both individually and collaboratively.
My education in fashion merchandising has given me a greater understanding of how cultural tastes change over time. I am able to recognize trends ahead of the curve and apply this knowledge to branding strategy. Through fashion trend forecasting, one can better predict the colors, fonts, and styles that consumers will look for in product packaging, for example. As a PR professional, I will utilize these insights to help build a strong and desirable brand identity.
I am excited to begin my public relations career!
